About

Graham Meikle is the Programme Director for both the MLitt in Digital Media, Publishing and Law, and the MLitt in Media and Culture, and coordinates the department's research postgraduate programme. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules in digital media, news theory and analysis, and research methods. Graham is interested in supervising postgraduate research projects on cultural aspects of digital media. He has a PhD in Media & Communication, and a Master’s in Media, Technology & Law, both from Macquarie University in Sydney. Graham also has an MA (Hons) in English Literature from Edinburgh University. In a past life, he taught English in Japan, Ecuador, Spain and Australia.

Research

Graham's latest book is Media Convergence: Networked Digital Media in Everyday Life, co-written with Sherman Young of Macquarie University, published by Palgrave Macmillan (2012). Graham is also the author of Interpreting News (Palgrave Macmillan 2009) and Future Active: Media Activism and the Internet (Routledge 2002). He is co-editor, with Guy Redden of Sydney University, of News Online: Transformations and Continuities (Palgrave Macmillan 2011).
